My kids, their meds, bottles of water (clean water is very important), and--depending upon the type of disaster--perhaps items that are both valuable and easily portable. (Given that where I live, any catastrophe that affected us--other than a fire which wouldn't give us ten minutes to pack--would have to be of a type to devastate a huge area with millions of people. We would need to be prepared to barter for what we need.)

I think I'd also grab a copy of The Charioteer.

[Error: unknown template qotd]TV: It's hard to call between Star Trek--in all its incarnations--(groundbreaking) and Farscape (incredibly imaginative and brilliantly written)
Movies: definitely Star Wars (but only the original three; the recent three are dung)
