Oxymoron alert!

I was innocently channel surfing on my tv this morning, and I came across an infomercial for an iron. I need a new iron, so I paused for a moment. They were touting the special features that made it wonderful for delicate fabrics when the man said that it makes "hot dry steam." Dry steam?

And no, it wasn't merely a slip of the tongue by an over-enthusiastic salsperson. The words "hot, dry steam" appeared on the screen on the list of features.

Morons.

Sirius's birthday?

A quick question: Do we know the date of Sirius's birthday? What is it? I kind of need to know for a fic I'm working on.

(In the past, I've put Sirius's birthday in the summer because he just seemed like a Leo to me. And Remus seemed like a Pisces--then lo and behold, he is!)

"Beauty and the Geek" spoof

This YouTube video is a "Beauty and the Geek" spoof filmed at my Alma Mater. I thought it was cute, but I'm biased. (My favorite bit is when the first geek hurts his hand high-fiving another geek.)
