Women's Day recs

In honor of International Women's Day on Thursday, many of you self-pimped your own female-character centric fanfics. I couldn't do the same; I don't have any. However, I can recommend some of yours. Interestingly enough, I'd never read either of these before Thursday. One was a IW Day rec, and the other I happened to come across while looking for something else. What's that word for a lucky accident? Serendipity, I think.

Sea-Drenched Summer by javajunkie13 features Lily Evans. I love the Lily-Sirius friendship, her discrete match-making (of a Sirius/Remus nature), and the vicarious taste of summer.

The Amazing Bust of Nymphadora Tonks by thistlerose features—who else—Nymphadora Tonks. I love the realistic stream-of-consciousness of Tonks's storytelling, that she had the very good taste to have an enormous crush on her cousin Sirius when she was younger, and that Sirius had a Vincent Black Shadow motorcycle. Yes. If JKR gave you cause to dislike Tonks, let thistlerose help you like her again.
