One of my stories just got yanked from fanfiction.net because "The summary was not G rated."

It's a good rule and worth enforcing, but someone with half a brain should have actually checked to see if my summary did violate the rule before smiting my story with a flaming sword.

What was the summary? I'm glad you asked. It was a HP story called "The Litter," and the summary said, "A full moon and a bitch in heat. Will Moony be the first of his friends to become a father?" In other words, I did use the word "bitch," but I thought it was pretty clear that I was using it's traditional and G-rated meaning, a female dog. (The FCC thinks its G-rated. They let the dog show people say it on TV all the time.)

I can understand that some idiot saw the word "bitch" and complained. But shouldn't someone at ff.net have noticed that this was, at worst, a gray area rather than a violation of the rule? I would have been glad to rewrite the summary if they asked me. Instead, I'm temporarily banned from posting (I'm in a time-out chair like a naughtly preschooler) and when I do repost my story (with a new summary), all of the reviews will be gone forever.

May I say, "This sucks"? Yes, I can. This isn't ff.net.
