In more local news, Daughter and I just had a one-night stay at the hospital (CHOP). The cholangitis that she had last week didn't seem to be getting better with oral antibiotics, or rather, she seemed to be developing pancreatitis as well, so they brought us in for IV antibiotics. She improved quickly, blood tests showed that she didn't have pancreatitis, so we got sent home again. Even after a brief visit, it's very nice to be home.
It's kind of weird when we go in now. We're "veterans' of the place. We know to skip the first level of the parking garage, because it's always easier to find a spot on the second; we know where to find the linens and the family kitchen on "our" floor; we know that we can't get there (the family resource center on 8 Main) from here ("our" floor a.k.a 8 South). It's all good stuff to know--but sad that we know it.
