Daughter has fever--AGAIN
Oct. 20th, 2009 08:54 pmFor third time in a month, my kid is sick. And not any of my kids, it's the one on the waiting list for a new liver. Up until now, she's actually been very healthy (for a kid with a life threatening disease). But this kind of forces me to wonder what's going on with her immune system. Is this it? The first sign that her liver is giving up the ghost?
(We'll know soon. She had blood tests today.)
And it's a weird illness too. She has fever, headache, and body aches, so everyone keeps saying, "Flu!" However, she has no respiratory symptoms: no cough, no stuffy nose, nada--so not flu. Doctor tested her for strep today, but it came back negative. Gotta love those almost instant strep tests; they're much better than the next day one we used to have to use.
