Drama Princess

I have kids, therefore I am well acquainted with the whole High School Musical phenomenon. My favorite character is Ryan Evans, the subtextually-gay drama geek. If you've never seen the movies, just take my word for it: Ryan is as gay as a character in a made-for-the-Disney-Channel-movie can be. In other words, his flame doesn't burn bonfire bright, but there's a definite flame if you know to look for it. Want to see him in action? Watch the song I Don't Dance on YouTube.
The actor who plays him, Lucas Grabeel is also in the new movie Milk, in which he dresses in drag in at least one scene.
Anyway, my son and I just watched the bonus features DVD of HSM2, specifically footage of the cast rehearsing the musical numbers. In the Polynesian number, Sharpay places the prince's crown on the head of oh-so-cute Troy, and Ryan takes it back, placing it on his own head. For the rehearsal, instead of using the actual crown, they were using a handy substitute, a cute little glittery, feathery, pink, fairy-princess tiara. Lucas Grabeel, while holding the tiara, turns to the camera and says something like, "This tiara is me. You have no idea how well this suits my personality."
LOL! "Hi! I'm a girly drama princess, and I don't mind telling all my Disney fans!" You go, Girl!
