Edgar Allan Poe, just the writer to turn to when you want to treat yourself to a good scare. Granted, his short stories are scarier than his poems, but this is poetry month.

Appropriate

I caught a glimpse of a on-line news headline, something about Sanjaya having dinner with President Bush. My first thought:

WTF? Sanjaya gets invited to the White House? He doesn't rate that; he's only famous for being mediocre...oh, now it makes sense.

I then clicked on the link and saw that he wasn't invited to dinner by the prez. He's going to be the guest of People magazine at a dinner Bush is attending.

(And just to make the record clear: I don't watch "American Idol".)
