A Little (Virtual) Social Experiment

This summer, my kids got hooked on a website called VMK (Virtual Magic Kingdom). It's a multi-player on-line game run by Disney. You create a character, wander around the virtual amusement park, play games for fun and to win credits, use your credits to buy items like costumes and furniture for your "guest rooms", and trade with others. The target audience is kids 8-12, and since the site is run by Disney--with their reputation on the line--every possible safeguard is in place to keep it a very safe site for kids.
