...of course, tea isn't my cup of tea either. Give me hot chocolate instead.

Back on topic: Lately I've seen one particular Remus/Sirius story (which shall remain nameless to protect the writers' feelings) recced all over the place. I decided to give it a read. It's a long multi-chapter thingy, so I read many, many chapters hoping it would get better. It didn't.

Americanisms. OOC-ness. Boring plot. Rampant drug use. (For no good reason that I can discern; I suspect the writers enjoy an occasional joint and wanted their characters to join in the fun.). And the worst part, both Remus and Sirius realize that they are gay "off-screen" as it were. In one chapter, they have no clue; in the next chapter, they've already figured it out. The readers are completely shut out of the events that helped them get a clue. No inner turmoil, no angst about it. Nada.

Ick. I have to go reread some well-written Remus/Sirius to soothe my soul.
