FIC: A Gift of Understanding

This story was inspired by both the HP-universe and the novel The Charioteer by Mary Renault, but it isn't technically a crossover. I’ve read several reviews of The Charioteer by various gay men, and they inevitably say that it was a source of great comfort and of restored pride during the difficult teen years. I found myself imagining someone giving a copy of it to my favorite gay teenager, Remus Lupin.

You don't need to have read The Charioteer to read this, you merely have to love Remus.

The story is set in the summer before Harry's fifth year, and in the September of Remus's seventh year.
