Rowling has gone AU

Don't worry folks--no spoilers. I won't ruin it for those of you who haven't finished reading IT yet.

I'm just going to say that the book made me SCREAM in frustration at one point. When OotP came out, Sirius's death made me decide to think of canon as just one version of HP reality, and the fanfics I liked best as being equally valid versions.

Now, I've decided that Rowling is AU. Those of you who have finished reading HBP will understand.

Other than that, LOVED IT! Really good from start to finish.

P.S. How many of you correctly guessed who the HBP is? I did! I did!

OK, changed my mind. ( Spoiler about Snape )

Of course, none of this speculation means anything for me fanfic-wise. The whole novel is AU after all, so it won't effect my fics!

P.S. Added 18 July--I've decided to go with the theory that Sirius wrote his will before James and Lily died, back during the dark days when they all mistrusted Remus. Since getting out of Azkaban, he's been a bit too preoccupied with Dementors and Death Eaters to think about writing a new one--nor has he had access to a solicitor while in hiding. OK, now I can forgive Sirius.
