Eureka! I can copy and paste again!

rwday asked the question of the hour: "And why on earth can't I copy and paste from my LJ anymore?"

And muridae_x replied, "Are you using Internet Explorer? It's a bug with the new site scheme, Horizon. It still works okay with other browsers, or you can go to viewing options (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/) and switch back to Dystopia or Xcoliber until they sort it out."

I am SO grateful to both of them! I was just going to accept (with much grumbling) that we couldn't copy from LJ any more. I thought it was a deliberate change rather than a glitch.

Thanks for explaining that. I was wondering why rwday couldn't copy and paste when I was having no trouble. (Well, not with LJ. I was having OTHER computer-related issues but we won't get into that.)

Ohh, thanks for posting this. I just assumed my mouse at work was on the fritz with IE or something (apparently LJ is the only thing I use the cut and paste functions on in IE).

Will have to fix this tomorrow.

Oh God, THANK YOU. I was going nuts without being able to select anything - it's become some sort of odd habit in the last few years. :))
