Video: A Kiss is Just a Kiss

[livejournal.com profile] erastes had a link to this wonderful video in her journal, and I didn't think anyone on my friends' list should miss it. I especially adore the "warning" at the beginning. It reads, "This video is about MEN kissing MEN. Anyone who finds the idea of MEN kissing MEN offensive should watch this video over and over again until they become accustomed to it. Thank you."

A Kiss is Just a Kiss.

Wow! Thank you for that. Very lovely. There were a lot of clips there I'd never seen before - and want to - and the credits scrolled by so quickly. Erg. Do you know where the scenes came from of the two guys dancing in tuxes? And the scene with Michael York in it?

No--wish I did. I know Michael York played a gay character in Cabaret, but he looked younger in those clips than I think he was in Cabaret. I'll have to visit imdb.com and see if I can solve the mystery.

Mmm. Michael York. [sigh]

What a great video! Thanks so much for linking it. I'll probably spread the word and link it in my journal, too, because there cannot be enough boy kissing.

OK, I just made a copy of the complete list of credits at the end of the video, and then I compared them against the list at IMDb.com of movies Michael York is in. Cabaret is the only movie I saw on both lists.

However, I'm still not certain. The final clip with Michael in it was definitely Cabaret, but he looks younger in the clip in which he is wearing the grey uniform and the cap.

And can anyone tell us what movie has the two men ballroom dancing?

Link away! Everyone should get an opportunity to see this.

Yummy

Thank you.

Yeah Michael York. It's funny I never saw Cabaret although I should have, I've heard about that film so often. But I fell totally in love with Michael York as Tybalt in Zefferelli's Romeo and Juliet (in my top 20 list of all-time fav movies) and then again when he played D'Artagnan in the Three Musketeers and also in Logan's Run. I had no idea he was gay until I heard it recently.

Where on earth did you hear that? I've always thought he was straight.

Mmm, this is a lovely video! Thanks!

My flist was made very happy. =)

Oh gack, I went out and did a websearch on Michael and it does turn out he's straight and has been married forever. That'll teach me for repeating an unsubstantiated rumor. Sorry Michael!

Mmm, nice spicing up of laundry night here. :) Thanks for the link. And I wish we *could* show it to some people, repeatedly, until they grow up.

Wouldn't that be nice.
